As of my last knowledge update in September 2021, Google and other search engines can index and detect content generated by ChatGPT. However, the ability to detect such content doesn't necessarily mean that search engines can identify it as generated by a specific AI model like ChatGPT.
Google can index and search through
publicly accessible content on the internet, including the text generated by
ChatGPT.
When search engines crawl the web,
they analyze and index the content. If the content generated by
ChatGPT is publicly accessible and indexed by search engines, it can appear in
search results. However, search engines typically do not distinguish between
content created by humans and content generated by AI.
It's important to note that technological developments and search engine algorithms may have occurred since
my last update in September 2021. Always refer to the latest information or
announcements from relevant sources for the most up-to-date details on how
search engines handle AI-generated content.
